National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)
नए स्नातक, डिप्लोमा एवं व्यावसायिक-प्रमाणपत्रधारकों को शिक्षुता अधिनियम 1961 के अंतर्गत 6 माह से 1 वर्ष तक का व्यावहारिक ऑन-द-जॉब शिक्षुता प्रशिक्षण देना।

- Hands-on apprenticeship training in an industry/establishment for 6 months to 1 year, a monthly stipend (aligned to minimum rates under the Apprentices Act; 50% of the stipend is reimbursed to the employer by the Government of India via DBT), and a Government of India Certificate of Proficiency registrable at employment exchanges as valid work experience. Widely promoted in Bihar as a ~Rs 9,000/month opportunity for recent graduates.

Official NATS about-us page (Ministry of Education) confirms NATS 2.0 portal is operational with active establishments and stipend disbursal via DBT; PIB recorded launch of NATS 2.0 and disbursal of Rs 100 Cr stipends to graduates/diploma holders. Bihar graduates (2020-2024 cohort) are being actively enrolled per state notifications. Central scheme, no state budget line needed.
