Promote apprenticeship training across the country by incentivising employers to engage apprentices, thereby giving youth (including ITI pass-outs, school pass-outs and skill-certificate holders) industry-based, paid, on-the-job skilling.

- Apprentices receive a prescribed monthly stipend (revised in May 2025 to a range of approx. Rs 6,800-Rs 12,300/month), of which the Government contributes 25% of the prescribed minimum stipend up to Rs 1,500/month directly via DBT; for non-ITI candidates the Government also shares basic training cost up to Rs 7,500 for 500 hours/3 months. Apprentices gain certified, industry-recognised work experience.
